The Audi A6 is due for a change and we now have our hints of what that change may look like. Sharper headlights, a wider grille, and a new profile are just some of the changes we can see on the new A6, caught winter testing in Norway.

As one of Marc Lichte’s new designs, the A6 promises to be more different from the rest of the Audi range than the car it replaces. It will share in common with other Audi sedans a hexagonal grille and headlights cut as sharp as diamonds, though. The new A6 will also share its MLB platform in common with the new A8.

The A6 has new creases in the hood as well as a sharp crease down the side. Out back an LED light bar is expected to run the across the back of the car.

Inside, meanwhile, Audi’s trusty MMI system is expected to be replaced by an all new touch operated system. The new touch screens will provide haptic feedback, which Audi is the first automaker to offer.

Audi will have a lot of work to do, though, if it wants to keep up with the newly updated BMW 5 series and  Mercedes E-class, both of which are now showcases of the most current technology.
