Own Lamborghini’s Ode to the Periodic Table for $2.6 Million

If you’re among the 6,999,999,980 or so people who missed their chance to own the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento when it was new, fear not! You may still be in luck.
That’s right, you too can own a car mostly made out of the sixth element: carbon. Lamborghini’s ode to the periodic table is now for sale, and with delivery mileage, to boot.
Only 20 of these sub-1,000 kg superlative-cars were made, and when new they went for an eye-watering $2.2 million. Which, might make this one a steal at $2.6 million.
That said, this same Sesto Elemento appears to be the same car that was for sale on Craiglist earlier this year with an asking price of $4.5 million. So apparently the market for these Lamborghinis isn’t exactly red hot.
If you don’t happen to live in Dubai, international shipping can be organized by Knight International, the company organizing the sale. And the seller also claims to be in contact with some engineers who’ll make the Sesto Elemento street legal. No estimate on how much that bit of engineering will cost, but as it says in the UAE national anthem: “If you have to ask… Please leave our country, clearly you can’t afford to be here.” It’s a really beautiful song.
Watch Richard Hammond’s glowing review of the Sesto Elemento below.
