We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week’s mix is a collection of a possible bargains, including one of the cheapest 911s we could find, an air-cooled cabriolet that’s not what it appears to be, a Speed Yellow 911 we’re strangely drawn to and a special Cayman many may have forgotten about. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
1. 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet For Sale
While 996 Turbos might be seeing some love and price appreciation as of late, earlier year, normally aspirated models still haven’t quite hit bottom it seems. Take this 2000 Cabriolet version for sale we just found. With just under 40,000 miles, I know some of you will immediately cry "IMS". Never fear, that particular problem has already been addressed on this 996 along with a host of other maintenance items. Get a PPI, put in a bid and enjoy that savannah beige interior (I’m just so tired of grey over grey 911s).

2. 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S For Sale
I’m not always a fan of Speed Yellow on a 911, but this one just seems to be done right. I don’t know if it’s the black 19" Sports Design wheels, the aftermarket GT3 aerokit, or the yellow calipers. Combine those options with the sports seats, painted guages, just two owners since new and a complete service history, and I think we have a winner here. Whatever it is, this 911 just strikes me right. Apparently, others agree as there are more than 75 people "watching" this auction as I type this. Given the mileage and condition, the "Buy it Now" price seems a tad steep, but if you can buy this car in the mid to low $40s, it would probably be a steal.

3. 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe For Sale
Finished in Light Blue Metallic with Black leather interior this is one of the least expensive late ’70s 911s we’ve seen in a while. Currently, bidding is just over $25k and it looks as if the reserve has been met. With that said, this 911 has seen more than 150k miles, but if it’s been well serviced and cared for that really shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The seller doesn’t talk service history, and oil leaks look apparent in the photos (assuming they’re from this 911) but that’s par for the course for a 911 of this vintage. A PPI is a must, but with what appears to be clean paint and a nice interior, this could make for a very nice driver.

4. Get a 993 Cabriolet on an SC Budget
If you’ve always wanted a 993 Cabriolet but didn’t quite have the bankroll, this might just be the Porsche for you. I’m never usually a fan of these conversions, but in this instance it seems to have been done right. What started as a 1983 911 SC has been re-bodied with a high-strength lightweight 993 carbon fiber body. It’s a bit strange seeing the older interior styling with the more modern, wide hipped 993 body, but it’s not terrible. The seller claims the engine to be strong, and matching with both the original transmission and car. Depending on the seller’s expectations and where bidding ends up, this could be a great buy.

5. 2012 Porsche Cayman R For Sale
With all the noise about the Cayman GT4, you can be forgiven if you forgot about one of the original "track prepared" Caymans, the R version. They were 121 lbs. lighter than Cayman S and produced an additional 10 hp for a total of 330. With a retuned suspension and adapted sport Chassis, this Cayman R weighs in at just 2855 lbs. The 6-speed manual transmission lets you row your own gears and this one is finished in a stunning Carrera White over black. We haven’t seen many of these sell, so it’s hard to comment on the pricing, but it’s definitely worth a look.
