Although Audi’s history is rich with motoring excellence, none is more revered or loved than the Quattros of Group B fame. And now you can own one of the slightly more than 200 that were produced to satisfy homologation rules.

This white Audi Sport Quattro from 1985 is on sale at RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba auction on May 27 and it’s expected that it will go for between €300,000 and €350,000 ($330,000-$385,000).

A stunning example first registered to Audi, this example only has 90,500 km (56,000 miles) on the clock. As with many other models, its alloy block—porous and prone to cracking as it was—was replaced by a steel one in the late ‘80s.

The work that’s been carried out on this Quattro, though, has been meticulously recorded, including a recent engine overhaul by MTM Mayer in 2010. Since 2012, the car has been stored in a warehouse and has only completed 10,000 km.

The price may be large, but since only 164 Audi Sport Quattros actually sold, this is a rare chance to own or even look at a piece of motorsport history.
