Audi to Debut RS Q8 in March, Report

Audi Sport has been very busy lately with two models officially set to be revealed next month in Geneva (the RS 3 Sportback and the RS 5 DTM), and more models than you can shake a stick at rumored for reveal. And yet another joins the rumor ranks: The RS Q8.
England’s Autocar reports that Audi’s new sporty SUV will get a ridiculously sporty variant, thanks to Audi Sport (formerly blah blah blah). The RS Q8, the report states, will get a heavily modified version of the familiar 4.0-liter V8 making about 600 hp.
That should be good for a sub-5 second zero-to-sixty time and a top speed of more than 185 mph. Performance that will inevitably be compared to Mercedes and BMW’s offerings, the GLE63 and X5M, which get to sixty in 4.3 and 4.2 seconds respectively and up to 174 mph.
According to Autocar’s source, the RS Q8 will look even more aggressive than the Q8, which premiered in Detroit, but a few short weeks ago. With a new front splitter, and a more prominent grille, the changes won’t just be about appearances, though, they’ll be about air management.
