Audi Ranks Second in Customer Service Index
J.D. Power recently released the results of its annual Customer Service Index, rating the quality of automotive service and Audi came in second among luxury manufacturers.
The rankings are based on dealer service performance for the first three years of vehicle ownership. With a score of 869 (out of 1,000) Audi’s service was beaten only be Lexus, which scored 874. Audi’s score also ranks it higher than any mass market brand, with Buick topping that chart.
On top of that, Audi scores well above the average score for luxury brands (859), a score which BMW, Acura, Volvo, and Land Rover could not match.
While the index doesn’t go into detail about what specifically Audi did to earn its score, it does indicate that service advisors, service initiation, and vehicle pickup were the three biggest factors in earning a high score, with service quality, and service facility following closely.
Fixing problems the first time was also among the most important factors, as satisfaction ratings plummeted if customers had to go back to the dealership.
