Expert tuners of everything VW, ABT Sportsline, have applied their know-how to the Audi SQ7, in turn improving both the appearance and performance of the diesel SUV.
The German tuning company has boosted the output of the SQ7’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 diesel engine from 435 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque to a whopping 520 horsepower and 715 lb-ft. ABT’s Power Control Unit provides the additional power and is joined by the company’s Level Control module, which enables the driver to adjust the vehicle’s suspension by a further 20mm at the push of a button. An ABT Sound Control system also allows the driver to easily adjust the SQ7’s exhaust pitch.
Naturally, ABT has introduced visual upgrades for the SQ7 to accent the performance modifications. An aero package that adds a front skirt, fender extensions, a rear diffuser and rear hatch spoiler is available and can be optioned with a carbon package that builds on the look with a carbon front skirt piece, a carbon grille frame and carbon lower door sill attachments. Rounding out the exterior changes are carbon borders for the tailpipes and 22-inch ABT Sport GR wheels.
ABT is also offering a variety of cabin upgrades for the SQ7 including ABT-branded trunk and floor mats, reupholstered seats with contrasting stitching and ABT logos and carbon fiber dash inserts.
The ABT SQ7 will make its international debut this week at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
