When it snows a lot take the time to clear the snow off the windshield. Five minutes could save you hundreds of dollars.
Your wiper blades are not designed to plow snow. Also make sure your wipers were not left on from the night before and froze to the glass.
The wiper motor is very strong but the transmission that drives the wiper arms. can easily be broken with heavy snow on the glass.
So unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new wiper transmission take a couple minutes to clear the snow off if your windshield
