Audi to Unveil RS 3 Sportback in March

Audi has announced that it will unveil the latest addition to its RS lineup at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the 400 hp RS 3 Sportback.

Like the RS 3 Sedan that was revealed at the Paris Auto Show last year, the Sportback will feature the world’s most powerful 5 cylinder engine making 33 hp more than its predecessor and 354 lb-ft of torque.

Along with the power, the new RS 3 Sportback is 57 lbs lighter than the car it replaces, and an inch wider and lower than the standard A3 Sportback.

Power is routed to all four wheels via Audi’s seven speed S tronic transmission. With variable torque splitting, the faster you drive, the more power is sent to the rear wheels.

Audi will fit the RS 3 Sportback with 19 inch cast wheels, and optional 12.2 inch carbon ceramic brake discs. Inside, Audi has installed a lap timer, boost pressure indicator, and shift lights.

The RS 3 Sportback will be unveiled alongside the RS 5 DTM at Geneva and order books are set to open in Europe in April.
