Ken Block has just revealed his latest car in the video above, and it’s actually a truck. It’s
, and it’s called the Hoonitruck. And actually, it’s hardly even an
anymore.
For one thing, the F-150’s body has been dropped to the ground and is fitted over a custom tube-frame chassis. Powering that chassis is
a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 related to the one in the Ford GT race cars
, and the power goes through an all-wheel-drive system similar to that found in a rally car. The engine is a monster, with its two huge turbos sticking through the hood, and sending boost into a custom 3D-printed intake manifold. Total output is rated at 914 horsepower.
There are a variety of visual enhancements to the truck, too. The exhaust shoots out the fenders. It has aggressive front and rear spoilers. And there are custom Fifteen52 20-inch wheels at each corner with actual beadlocks. The tires are a fat 315-mm wide.
