We now have a release date for the
“The Gymkhana Files,” offering a behind-the-scenes look at
‘s
team and the making of “GymkhanaTEN.” It premiers Friday, Nov. 16, on Amazon Prime Video.
The eight-episode series, which is produced by Hoonigan Media Machine, will feature untold stories and never-used footage from the previous nine
videos and the making of “GymkhanaTEN,” mixed with the trials and tribulations of Block’s experiences racing in the World Rallycross Championship. Two new episodes will premier each Friday, running through the finale on Dec. 7.
True to the spirit of the series,
— and there’s still no word on that release date — promises to be the biggest entry in the viral-video franchise, which has racked up more than half a billion views and counting. Block and company travel to five different locations across two continents, with stops in Detroit — those of us who are locals might pick out a flash of the Michigan Central Station, one of
newest pieces of real estate, in the trailer — Pikes Peak and Los Angeles, where Block drifts along the edge of the water of the concrete-banked Los Angeles River.
It will feature action in five different race cars — one of which it promises is “a completely unique, custom build never seen before.” Looks like it’ll be a plenty wild ride.
